Lisa Melchior Among Canada's Top 100 Powerful Women 2023

Lisa Melchior, founder and managing partner of Vertu Capital, has been named one of Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100 for 2023 by the Women's Executive Network, in a spectacular recognition of her accomplishments.

Lisa, a former executive at OMERS Private Equity, was the first woman in Canada to launch a private equity business. This prominent award honours female pioneers from a variety of industries and areas, including activists, artists, and entrepreneurs.

Lisa expressed her thanks for the accolade, saying, "I am incredibly honoured to be recognized alongside such an inspiring group of women leaders." There are plenty of educated, courageous, and motivated women prepared to be the change they want to see. It was critical for me to teach the next generation of women that we could do things differently and still be successful when I founded Vertu."

Vertu Capital, which was founded in 2017, focuses on investing in enterprise software firms. Last year, the Toronto-based business reached a critical milestone by completing its initial fund, which raised more than C$300 million.
