Love Wellness Appoints Maria Dempsey as its New CEO

Today, Lauren Bosworth's entire body women's health business, Love Wellness, announced the hiring of Maria Dempsey as CEO. Dempsey brings more than 30 years of experience and a demonstrated track record of executive and organizational leadership, strategic brand vision, product innovation, and retail and digital successes to Love Wellness after holding senior positions at NEST New York, Lancôme, John Frieda, and Clarins.

The next stage of Love Wellness' hyper-growth mode will be driven by Maria, and Bosworth expressed his excitement at having her on board. "I've always wanted to make the brand as accessible to women as possible, and as our team and business expand, Maria is positioned to support me in realizing my goals for this industry and business."

Dempsey will expand on Love Wellness' strong foundation in women's well-being as its chief executive officer to offer great innovation in personal care. Bosworth will continue to serve as the company's founder while assuming the position of Chairwoman of the Board, where she will be responsible for directing the execution of brand marketing, product development, and retail strategy to promote growth in current retail channels and expansion into new markets.

Dempsey started her career in the cosmetics sector in 1987 at L'Oréal, where she spent 12 years working in marketing on the Lancome division before rising to the position of Vice President of Marketing, Facial Skincare, Sun, Body, and Fragrances. She served as John Frieda Hair Care's vice president of marketing from 1999 to 2003, during which time she made significant contributions to the company's growth through innovation and solid retail relationships.

Dempsey served in several senior and executive management roles at Clarins from 2008 to 2017, most recently as Executive Vice President of Marketing for the Americas, the United Kingdom, and Travel Retail. Before joining Clarins, Dempsey served as president and board chair of HM Mane Solutions, her own start-up company that introduced the ground-breaking EasyStraight line of at-home hair care products sold in Australian and American drugstores.
