In a recent announcement, Mid-America Apartment Communities, Inc., (MAA) (NYSE: MAA) has declared the appointment of Sheila K. McGrath into the company’s Board of Directors. Founded in 1977, MAA caters in the Real Estate industry with headquarters in Germantown, Tennessee. The company specialises in Apartment homes and Corporate housing.
Along with the election of John Case and Tamara Fischer at the May 2024 Annual Meeting, the appointment of Sheila serves as a part of the long-term of the Board with an intent of addressing the three director’s upcoming retirement in 2025. She has also been appointed to the Real Estate Investment Committee as well as Compensation Committee where she will be serving as an independent director till next year Annual Meeting of Shareholders.
