  • 1337 Ventures launches femtech accelerator Alpha Startups™ Inno4Her.
  • An 8-week accelerator programme designed to help femtech startups scale and achieve market fit.
  • Participants to receive mentorship from industry experts and networking opportunities.

1337 Ventures, a leading Malaysian venture capital firm, launched Alpha Startups™ Inno4Her, the first accelerator program in Southeast Asia focused on femtech innovation. This accelerator program empowers femtech start-ups with resources, mentorship, and platforms they need to help validate ideas, develop market fit, and scale. The effort sits within an ambitious initiative to further catalyze the innovation agenda within women's health, where progress has typically suffered from under-investment and inadequate levels of research.

The program will last for eight weeks and is open to startups in any stage but focuses on solutions for women's health. There are areas of innovation such as personalized healthcare-AI, data analytics, and telehealth; menopause and aging health; menstrual health; advanced maternal care; fertility and reproductive health; and wearables for women's health. With this initiative, 1337 Ventures aims to empower both female and male founders in transforming the landscape of women's healthcare across the region.

Among Alpha Startups ™ Inno4Her's participants, successful startup owners get the chance to learn from respected industry leaders that include leaders like Doc on Call, BabyDash, Concept Fertility Centre and Christina Teo of She1K. Their expertise will facilitate navigating unique to femtech difficulties like product validation, business models, and access to funds. The program also avails opportunities to network with other startups and corporates focused on health, critical for building a collaborative ecosystem in advancing women's health solutions.

The accelerator will conclude with a demo day, during which participating startups will pitch their innovations to investors and industry leaders for potential funding. This is an opportunity that femtech entrepreneurs can take seriously to secure funding and push the mission forward of improving women's healthcare. Also, under this larger initiative, 1337 Ventures is organizing a webinar series to showcase innovations led by women in tech, health, and wellness. This webinars will consist of prominent speakers discussing various topics relating to women's health and enabling women entrepreneurs in the field.

Through this new program, 1337 Ventures is taking a significant role in contributing to the growth of femtech in Southeast Asia, thus matching the global market's expanding nature and women's health-related needs.
