The Malinauskas government has partnered with Fearless Females Network (FFN) and launched a Fearless Innovator Grants Program which shall aid the women led early startup with funding. This partnership is committing $110,000 from the Research and Innovation Fund in order to help Women in Innovation (WINN) to facilitate this two-year pilot program.
This funding shall help the ambitious women entrepreneurs who are looking for help to start their businesses. Susan Close, the Minister of Deputy Premier and industry, innovation and science emphasizes on the women in need of funding and lagging to start something new. This funding is a great opportunity for them.
While expressing her thoughts, she said, “Each startup businesses – as defined by their high growth and global outlook – has the potential to be transformative for the South Australian economy.”
She continued, “Many of these innovative businesses are also having significant positive impact on their customers and communities – whether that be a new medical device with improved health outcomes for patients, software to predict and mitigate the impacts of climate change, or technology that helps a business operate more efficiently and achieve higher profits.”
The application for this funding program shall start in June, 2024 followed by the grants to be awarded at the annual WINN Awards in November 2024 and 2025, to the successful early-stage businesses.
The President of Women in Innovation, Paula Turbill said, “This unique funding initiative aims to address the gender gap in startup funding by providing tailored support and capital to female founders in South Australia.”
She added, “Aligning this program with the Women In Innovation Awards is a great way to continue supporting South Australia’s female-founded start-ups further along their journey and achieve even more success.”
The interested women-led startups can fill the application in June and get the chance to win the grant. This grant shall turn out to be a great opportunity for the one’s looking for funding.
