Pop sensation Taylor Swift emerged as the standout winner at the MTV Europe Music Awards on Sunday, November 10, held at Manchester's Co-Op Live venue. Swift was leading with seven nominations and won four awards, including Best Artist, Best Video for her song "Fortnight" with Post Malone, Best Live Act, and Best US Act. Presently on her Eras tour across North America, She is expressing her gratitude to fans for their continued support in a video “The fact that you have honored the tour, the album, and the video this year is just unbelievable,” said Swift, whose latest album *The Tortured Poets Department* was released in April.

South African singer Tyla also made an impressive showing, winning three awards: Best Afrobeats, Best R&B, and Best African Act.

The event marked the return of the MTV EMAs year after being canceled last year due to the Gaza conflict. It was a poignant evening with a tribute to the late Liam Payne from One Direction. The ceremony was hosted for the third successive year by Rita Ora, who headed the tribute to Payne, who died this October in tragic circumstances after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires when he was 31 years old. Visibly moved, Ora reminisced about some of the most important contributions that Payne had brought to the MTV world, but also how the man himself had left a positive influence on those around him.

Other notable winners were Sabrina Carpenter who won Best Song with "Espresso", Ariana Grande who took home Best Pop, and Eminem who took the Best Hip-Hop trophy. Jimin was leading in the category, Best K-pop, while Peso Pluma took Best Latin, and Liam Gallagher scooped Best Rock. Benson Boone was named Best New Act.

The ceremony also honored hip-hop icon Busta Rhymes with the Global Icon Award, while the Pet Shop Boys received the Pop Pioneer Award, closing the night with a performance of their hits.
