Mary Chandler, CEO of Cummins Foundation Retires

Mary Chandler, CEO of the Cummins Foundation retires this spring after serving 12 years in this firm. This was announced today by the company. Chandler played the role of the company's vice president with responsibilities of corporate and community relations.

According to Jennifer Rumsey, Chandler managed the development of four strategic community initiatives including Cummins TEC: Technical Education for Communities, Cummins Powers Women, Cummins Water Works, and Cummins Advocating for Racial Equity (CARE).

She further said that Chandler has put on good efforts to fulfill the commitments of the company.

Chandler also worked as a partner at the law firm of Indianapolis. The replacement of Chandler will be Jim Schacht, who is presently the executive director of Cummins’s North American corporate responsibility division. Jim will take over both positions led by Chandler.

Jim has a good knowledge of the initiatives as she also contributed to the establishment of Cummins Water Works, a programme created for improving water infrastructure around the globe.

Jim will begin his duties on April 1, he will oversee community relations. He has managed the organization’s Business services and Marine Oil & Gas Market Segments in the Power Systems Business. He will perfectly manage and continue the impact on communities all over the globe, as mentioned by Rumsey.
