MEP Elena Kountoura addresses audience during "We Put Women in Action" Event

Elena Kountoura, a member of the European Parliament, spoke to the crowd at the "We put women in Action" occasion on the empowerment of women. Her efforts at the European Parliament to prevent domestic abuse and gender discrimination were highlighted in her address. The function started at 7:30 pm, May 6, 2023.

This event's key message was that "Tackling domestic violence is a demand for strong political will, which is sadly lacking in the current government."
