Mercury/13 pledges $100 million for Women's Sports' Surge

Intending to reintroduce women’s football to the world, Football consortium Mercury/13 has pledged $100 million after acquiring Italian football club Como Women this year in March. In order to build teams portfolio across the world, the group looks forwards to ride the women’s sports’ surge.

Joining the mission, Nike has become the first-ever official independent women’s Serie A football club supplier. Being a multi-club ownership group, Mercury/13 caters in the Sports Teams and Clubs industry with specialities in Football Investment, Professional Women's Football, and Sports Investment.

Victoire Cogevina Reynal, the founder of Mercury/13 stated, “We are true believers in the commercial power of women’s football, and FC Como Women presented a perfect opportunity to prove our model.”

In a statement, Nike’s EMEA women’s division VP and General manager Jennifer Myron added, “We are proud of the role we have played in fostering and supporting the continued growth of the women’s game for both the elite and amateur athlete. One of the most exciting forces for change is the continued rise of women’s sports, and the partnership with FC Como Women solidifies our commitment to inviting more women into football.”

In addition, FC Como has launched ‘We Belong Here’ campaign in order to celebrate their new collaboration with Nike as well as the upcoming season. The celebration has been scheduled as the firm has build a team that is focuses on the Italian league’s bright future.
