Mo Abudu, a media tycoon has been appointed to International Emmys’ board of directors. She is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of EbonyLife Media which was founded in the year 2013 that caters to Media Production Industry with specialities in TV Shows and Movies.
Mo Abudu, while expressing her gratitude towards the position, said, “It is an honour to contribute to the International Emmys’ mission of fostering international collaboration and showcasing the very best in television. In this role, I’m particularly interested in leveraging the platform to elevate Africa’s burgeoning creative economy. By advocating for increased representation of African productions and talent, I believe the International Emmys can play a crucial role in spotlighting Africa’s unique stories and propelling its creative industries onto the global stage.”
Prior to EbonyLife group’s journey, Mo was the CEO of Inspire Africa for 6 years and Head Of Human Resources at ExxonMobil for 7 long years. With an extensive experience at leading EbonyLife Group that includes EbonyLife Films, EbonyLife Studios, the EbonyLife Creative Academy, and EbonyLife Place, she has become a powerhouse in the Media industry.
Additionally, Forbes has recognised Mo’s myriad achievements as named her as Africa’s Business Woman of the Year on March 8, 2024 which was International Women’s Day.
