HSBC has come up with a new survey that reveals about the difficulties women entrepreneurs face. According to the survey, 1 in 10 women says that securing the required financial support was their number one challenge.

HSBC caters in the Financial Services industry, being banking giant with specialities in International Finance and Banking, Wealth Management, Corporate and Business Banking, retail banking, Insurance amongst other.

The survey took the poll of more than 1,000 female business owners who revealed that almost 50% of them are planning towards business expansion in the UK or overseas in 2025. However, they are being held back due to the lack of access loans or financing.

HSBC’s Stephanie Betant said,Without sufficient credit lines, women are too often forced to sit on their innovative business ideas and growth plans, or cancel them completely. At HSBC UK, we want to drive meaningful change by using our financial expertise and global network to help women-led businesses realise their full potential, helping them to achieve growth and create a stronger economy.”

She added, “We recognise that in addition to funding, female business leaders need a support network and access to resources. HSBC UK will launch quarterly masterclasses later this year, with each focusing on different growth topics including supply chain management, selecting international markets and advice on business plans and forecasts.”
