Recently, Altrata has published a new report entitled as ‘billionaire census 2024’, revealing the global billionaire population expansion of 4% in 2023 to 3,323 individuals, indicating towards over reversed decline in 2022 for marking a high in billionaire numbers.
In addition, the ultra-rich’s wealth holdings were strengthened through rising stock markets as well as firmer “risk-on” sentiment within majority of other asset classes, as per the report. On the other hand, 432 out of the global population (3,323 billionaires) were females. A gradual increasing rate of Female billionaire representation has been witnessed over the past decade with an influence of global wealth distribution’s shifting pattern.
The census report mentions, “The world economy remained sluggish, constrained by high inflation, tight monetary policy, cost-of-living pressures and geopolitical instability, but it was ultimately more resilient than expected.”
The report also mentions about some 13% of female billionaires are detected to be below 50 years old in comparison to the 9% of their male counterparts. In contrast, female representation is slightly low than men when it comes to older demographic of billionaires who are above the age of 70. Majority of the billionaires are aged between 50 to 70, applicable for both men and women.
