Nigeria-South Africa Chamber of Commerce elects Dr Ije Jidenma as New President

Dr Ije Jidenma has recently been elected by Nigeria-South Africa Chamber of Commerce as its first new president and chairman. As per the statement from the chamber, the appointment of Dr Ije was revealed following the election during the annual general meeting of the company that took place in Lagos.

In addition, Dr. Ije has secured her name in the history by becoming the first ever female leader of the chamber that was established in the year 2000 with an intent to foster trade, investment, and economic cooperation between two countries i.e., Nigeria and South Africa.

The chamber stated, “Jidenma has championed the inclusion of women and youth in leadership, reflecting her dedication to equity and capacity building. Through platforms like the Goddy Jidenma Foundation, she continues to support societal development. Jidenma’s election is expected to bolster the NSCC’s role as a vital link for bilateral trade and investment”

Furthermore, Dr Ije’s election is a significant milestone for the rising NSCC. She adds that she shall bring an extensive experience after serving on diverse boards that also includes FirstBank of Nigeria Limited and MoMo Payment Savings Bank. In addition, she also serves as the founder of a prominent human resources and organizational development firm ‘Leading-Edge Consulting’.
