A total of 215 women entrepreneurs has been trained by NECA’s Network of Entrepreneurial Women (NNEW) in an alliance with an initiative of First City Monument Bank (FCMB) i.e., FCMB Sheventures Mentoring Programme. All these women have been equipped with the skills that are required for thriving in business.
The particular program was designed with an aim towards the empowerment of women entrepreneurs by giving them market access while successfully mentoring them diverse sectors of businesses at its cohort 11.
All the participants also received expert guidance on different engagements over these 6 weeks that also included focus group discussions, masterclasses, book reviews, and one-on-one mentorship.
In a presentation entitled ‘Investment Readiness for Business Owners’, Dr Yemisi Adeyeye, the guest lecturer also explained about programme.
In addition, Eniola Mayowa, the Project Director stated, “Our graduates have gained practical skills, resilience, and confidence that will support their entrepreneurial growth. This programme demonstrates the power of knowledge-sharing and community. The key highlights of the programme included the delivery of masterclasses by industry experts; one-on-one mentoring sessions addressing real-world challenges and opportunities; engaging focused group discussion by sectoral grouping and book review sessions to expand participants’ entrepreneurial vision and increase their ability to venture into the world of business.”
