In her recent statement, Malala Yousafzai has stated that international community should take a stand for the Afghan women rights. In addition, Malala has won Nobel Peace Prize along with being an activist for the right to education for girls and women.
In an interview with Sky News recently, she has stated certain aspects for Afghan girls and women, emphasising on her ongoing efforts for assisting the rights of women in Afghanistan with regards to international laws. She also underlined that the leaders are required to put their focus and start working for the rights of these Afghan girls and women.
However, the Islamic Emirate spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid has straightforwardly and repeatedly rejected all these claims regarding the violation of women’s rights. He has also stated that their rights are being ensured in agreement to Sharia law.
Considering the restrictions on the girls and women of Afghanistan, Malala wants all these women to have rights to education. So that they can grow and thrive towards success, later in life. If they are not granted for rights, then they won’t even get a chance to become independent which keeps them behind their counterparts. From her life experiences, Malala’s statement serves as a beginning of a new start.
