A consultancy ‘The Pipeline’ has said that, for the first in 8 years, the number of women holding executive reins in corporate Britain has fallen in an ‘unacceptable’ reversal which is going to delay gender parity for another five generations.
Founded in 2012, The pipeline caters in the Business Consulting and Services industry with headquarters in London, England. The firm specialises in Consulting, Inclusion, Gender, Diversity, Women, Leadership Development, Leadership, Ethnic minority women, DEI, and IED.
At senior corporate levels, the firm analyses gender diversity and mentioned that women’s average proportion on executive committees at 350 biggest of Britain, listing companies have slipped to 32 percent in the year 2024 as compared to 2023’s 33 percent.
The chair of the Group Geeta Nargund said, “It is unacceptable that gender representation in business leadership is moving backwards in 2024. Organisations which are performing the best in terms of gender parity are 22% more likely to have improved profits ... and so fair representation is not just a 'nice to have' or a tick-box exercise – it is a business imperative.”
The latest report has come out after Rishi Sunak, the former Conservative Prime Minister’s government mentioned that in 2023, Britain was a leader for women’s representation since females held board position’s 40.2 percent on top 350 listen companies of London, ahead of a 2025 deadline.
