Nutun Launches NEW Programme to Empower Women & Drive Gender Equality

Nutun, a well-known Global Business Services firm specialising in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), has launched an innovative project geared at advancing the careers of its female workers. The Nutun Empowerment Women (NEW) Programme, which was launched during a special staff event, is expected to play a critical role in furthering gender equality inside the organisation.

Dineo Sekwele, Nutun's Group HR Executive, introduced the NEW Programme in appreciation of the company's dynamic workforce mix, with women accounting for 75% of its employees. This project demonstrates Nutun's dedication to promoting gender equality and the promotion of women in leadership roles. Nutun is a key participant in South Africa's business services sector as a subsidiary of JSE-listed Transaction Capital.

"Our investment in the professional growth of our female talent is a testament to our dedication to empower women within Nutun and set an inspiring example for other organisations," said Sekwele, the program's driving force. Women's advancement leads to advancement for everybody."

The NEW Programme is intended to give participating female employees with a complete set of tools, including skill development, mentorship, group coaching, and networking opportunities. By providing Nutun's women with the skills they need to further their careers, the firm hopes to put its commitment to gender parity into action.

The initial cohort of the NEW Programme includes fifty women ranging from junior to mid-level management. Nutun has collaborated with Duke University, a world-renowned supplier of global corporate education, to create a curriculum that provides significant learning opportunities to empower women in a variety of fields.

Nutun Group CEO John Watling emphasised the transformative contributions that women make to the workplace, such as strength, intellect, leadership, and the bravery to confront traditions. Watling emphasised the crucial relevance of diversity and inclusion, particularly in leadership roles, to an organization's overall success and profitability. He urged people at all levels to support and accept diversity, allowing women to fulfil their full potential.

Peta Mashinini, a delegate from the International Women's Forum South Africa, provided an enthralling keynote presentation at the inaugural event. She emphasised the importance of female empowerment and mutual support, as well as the value of self-care in creating good change.

Sekwele was enthusiastic about the NEW Programme's potential to have a long-term influence on both its participants and Nutun as a whole. "The introduction of NEW represents a significant step towards achieving gender equity," she said. strengthening women is strengthening mankind as a whole."
