  • Virtual women’s health company raises $26 million
  • Allara Health shall use the funds to further help women

A total of $26 million has been raised by Allara Health in Series B funding. It will use that funding to assist females further, who are battling chronic hormonal conditions, as per the announcement made by the company.

Headquartered in New York, Allara Health is a Virtual women’s health company that was founded in the year 2020, catering in the Medical Practices industry. The platform commits to women struggling with conditions like polycystic ovarian syndrome, endometriosis and hypothyroidism, which are some of the most common conditions in today’s time.

The platform lets patients begin with a video chat with an OBGYN or nurse practitioner in addition to a registered dietitian, undergoing hormonal and metabolic testing afterwards. Following the procedure, the patients receive a personalized care plan including nutrition recommendations, lifestyle changes and medication if appropriate while involving check-ins every 2 months with a dietitian as well as check-ins with a physician and educational content.

Index Ventures Partner Martin Mignot said, “Allara has created a new way for women to engage with specialty care: personalized treatment delivered at scale by a team of experts who care deeply about their patients. As the healthcare market makes the jump from offline to online – similar to what we saw with consumer internet 20 years ago – there’s a significant opportunity to provide better access to care for patients and better quality of life for providers.”

Furthermore, the funding shall aid the company to bring its care for women across the nation, as per the announcement. The website of the company mentions that it offers complete medical as well as nutrition care in 23 states while having a nutrition-only membership in 22 states and Washington, D.C.
