Ohio's YBPW offering New Scholarships to Empower Female Students

• Youngstown Business and Professional Women’s Club offers 2 Scholarships
• Dr. Anne McMahon Scholarship to target female students at YSU
• YBPW Centennial Scholarships will be given to local female student

A total of 2 scholarships are being assisted by Youngstown Business and Professional Women’s Club (YBPW) for local female students. The club shall support the Dr. Anne McMahon Scholarship and the YBPW Centennial Scholarships that has been offered to female students at YSU.

Founded in 1920, YMPW caters in the Civic and Social Organizations industry with headquarters in Youngstown, Ohio, having specialities in networking, empowerment, scholarship, community impact, and civic engagement.

In addition, the scholarships shall also be provided to those students attending any college, university, or trade school in either Mahoning or in Trumbull County.

Moreover, the Dr. Anne McMahon Scholarship is comprised of a $1,000 scholarship that will be awarded to a female student at YSU while the YBPW Centennial Scholarship is the double of the last one i.e., $2,000 scholarship which will be given to a local female student attending an accredited 2/4-year college, university, or trade school.

From the past 5 years, since the 100th Anniversary of YBPW in 2020, it has expanded the scholarship fund with an intent towards including technical school students as well as students who are pursuing an associate’s degree.

Furthermore, the Dr. Anne McMahon Scholarship’s applications are now being available on the official website of YBPW and the Centennial Scholarship’s application are available at Centennial website of YBPW. The deadline of both the application is till March 31^st, 2025.
