The Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) and University of Home Economics signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Pakistan’s Lahore at PCJCCI Secretariat.
In order to empower women in various sectors such as fashion and interior designing, fine arts, IT, Visual Communication, textile, food, and nutrition, this MoU targets to launch Chinese advancements in Pakistan. The MoU was signed in the presence of young Pakistani entrepreneurs along and roughly 20 Chinese business women.
The Vice-chancellor of the University of Home Economics, Dr Faleeha Kazmi articulated her excitement for this alliance. She highlighted the initiation of Business Incubation Center which is designed to teach modern, skill-based knowledge to the students in entrepreneurship.
She said, “We have initiated Business Incubation Center which aims to provide a modern and skill-based knowledge to empower our students in entrepreneurship and we were excited for this MoU with PCJCCI because this is not only a partnership but it represents our commitment to excellence innovation and mutual growth for our organizations.”
According to the PCJCCI Presdent Moazzam Ghurki, this MoU is a forwarding step towards development in Pakistan’s fashion and interior designing sector. While expressing his thoughts, he said, “We are signing this MoU with University of Home Economics Lahore to tap the potential growth and development in fashion and interior designing sector of Pakistan. The PCJCCI, since its inception, was endeavoring to strengthen bilateral business, investment and cultural ties between China and Pakistan.”
Ali Raza Rizvi, the Joint chamber's Executive Committee member emphasises that this MoU will empower women and develop their skills in addition to technological advancement in Pakistan.
Ali Raza said, “Our objective is to adopt an innovative approach to promote trade and development to ensure future stability, security and prosperity for all.”
This alliance shall happen to be a great step towards the technological upgradation in Pakistan while focusing on the progress of women in the country.
