The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the death of its National Woman Leader, Prof. Stella Effah-Attoe, in a mournful statement. Debo Ologunagba, the party's National Publicity Secretary, issued a statement expressing great regret over her death, calling it a "devastating loss."

The PDP honored Effah-Attoe, a well-known figure in Nigerian politics and academics, as one of their "best and brightest." Her contributions as a committed teacher, brave mobilizer, author, and fierce fighter for truth, justice, equity, and fairness, particularly in the context of women's rights in Nigeria, were highlighted in the statement.

The party also recognized her arduous efforts, along with those of other PDP leaders, in rebranding and fortifying the party as it prepares for the 2023 general elections. The goal of this effort was to "rescue, rebuild, and redirect our nation from misrule."

The PDP expressed deepest condolences to Effah-Attoe's family, the village of Ikun in Cross River State's Biase Local Government Area, the academic fraternity, the Cross River State Chapter of the PDP, and the whole Cross River State population. Her legacy will definitely be recognized as a passionate and brave champion.
