Peng Liyuan Congratulates UNESCO Award Ceremony for Improving Women's Education

Chinese President Xi Jinping’s wife Peng Liyuan has sent a congratulatory message to 2024 United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Peng is also an UNESCO special envoy for the advancement of girls' and women's education.

The UNESCO Prize for Girls' and Women's Education award ceremony is all set to be held in Paris, France. She paid high tribute while giving speech, extending good wishes Uganda and Zambia’s award-winning organizations. She said that education of girls and women plays a significant part on their growth and development.

Expressing hope for every quarter, she emphasised to strongly assist health education and digital education among girls/women, gearing up science education to help them attaining better health conditions. Some of the other aspects include digital skills and scientific literacy, specifically regarding starting a business on their own.

Women’s and girl’s education is extremely important for the society and for themselves too because their knowledge towards business and everything else will help them to grow in the industry and work accordingly, in order to sustain their progress. Their growth will benefit the society as a whole and gender parity will not be at stake in any chance to come in the future.
