Philena Franc Joins EY Australia as Oceania Technology, Media and Telecom Leader

EY Australia, one of the largest professional services networks in the world, has named Philena Franc as the newly appointed leader of the Technology, Media, and Telecom Sector for Oceania. Philena will be responsible for supporting EY Australia’s efforts and advancement in AI, cybersecurity, risk management and sustainability.

Bringing more than 25 years in global technology and consulting, Philena will drive the firm’s strategic growth and industry expansion advancing its long-term growth vision. Before stepping into this position, she served for two years as EY’s leader for Technology Strategy and Transformation Competency in the Asia-Pacific market.

“I’m passionate about the power of technology and innovation to make the world better, one entrepreneurial dream at a time. Being at EY, and now as the TMT leader for the Oceania region, I can take that further,” said Philena Franc. “TMT is about more than business and networks – it’s an enabler of economic development, an elevator of quality of life, a geographical bridge to the digital economy and economically isolated communities, and a lifeline and safety net for people at risk.”

David Larocca, EY Oceania CEO, highlighted the new leader’s extensive experience and global connections. He cited her tenure at Capgemini, Amdocs, and AT&T, emphasizing her focus on digital transformation, telecom strategy, operations, technology, and 5G innovation. He also credited Philena’s leadership in numerous business landscapes across multi-vendor collaborations.
