Philippines' Real Estate Company AYALA Land Inc Appoints First Female President & CEO

AYALA Land Inc. (ALI), the real estate arm of the Philippines’ Ayala conglomerate, has recently announced the appointment of Anna Ma. Margarita “Meean” B. Dy was its first female President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Meean will be succeeding Bernard Vincent “Bobby” O. Dy.

Bobby Dy has been with ALI for 26 years, where he led the company as the President and CEO for nine years. He will retire from the company on October 1, 2023, and will take a new role as the Senior Advisor to ALI Chairman Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala (JAZA).

Upon her appointment as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of ALI, Meean Dy was involved in the Ayala Group Management Committee meetings.

ALI’s Chairman, JAZA showcased his confidence and trust in Meean Dy by speaking highly of her extensive experience in important leadership roles within the Strategic Landbank Management Group.

Meean Dy is credited with overseeing the Residential Business Group. More recently she took charge of the Malls, Offices, and the Hotels and Resorts Group. JAZA emphasized that with Meean’s leadership, Ayala Land will continue to make a meaningful impact on the lives and communities it serves.

Meean Dy graduated magna cum laude from the prestigious Ateneo De Manila University’s Economics Honors Program in 1990. She also holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1991. Additionally, she has an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration in 1996.
