Plan Internation Canada launches 'Girls Belong Here' for Canadian Women

Plan Internation Canada which is a global girls’ equality organization has launched its latest edition of Girls Belong Here on February 28, 2024. This is their signature domestic youth leadership program of the firm which focuses on helping young women of Canada to reach high-profile professional roles of leaders in civil, academic, government and corporate sectors within the country.

Ahead of International Women’s Day the program starts from 28^th February and shall run throughout the spring of 2024. The participants should be in between the age of 14 to 24. The participants shall get the chance to interact with senior industry leaders and experience their day-to-day life.

The program also includes innovation hubs which is a series of focus groups that provide fresh ideas to the concerned women on how to tackle problems within an organisation.

Anjum Sultana who’s the Director of Youth Leadership, Policy and Advocacy at Plan International Canada said, “Girls Belong Here allows partner organizations to make an impactful investment in today’s youth and encourage more women to seek out leadership roles.”

She continued, “Beyond meaningful mentorship, this program lets young women envision themselves in leadership positions they may not have considered previously. This transformative experience enables them to affirm their power and potential.”

The seat shared shall be hosted by Leading sponsor Cenovus Energy with 2 members of Executive Leadership Team:

I look forward to learning from my mentors at Cenovus and contributing my ideas.”
