The 13th annual Women in Business Week, taking place May 8–12, shall feature women who are leading the way and changing the game in their respective sectors, PNC Bank is pleased to announce.
The purpose of the annual event, which serves as the centrepiece of PNC's year-round commitment to women, is to give women who make financial decisions information that will help them in the variety of financial positions they may fill, from company owners and household "CFOs" to corporate executives.
The PNC Bank regional presidents across the country host dozens of live events each year, and this year's speaker lineup includes several interesting and educational figures, including Julie Uhrman, co-founder and president of Angel City FC, and Wendy Yuengling Baker, chief administrative officer of America's oldest brewery.
Beth Marcello, the director of PNC's Women's Business Development, claims "This year's Women in Business Week events were inspired by the women game-changers who continue to have a lasting impact on industries like sports, education, outdoor adventure, and more."
“Our Women in Business Week speakers will discuss a range of subjects important to today's financial decision-makers via a variety of lenses, from teaching kids about money management to playing women's football.”
Women in Business Week is just one illustration of PNC's commitment to consistently engage, educate, recruit, and keep on board as clients and employees women who make financial decisions.
The bank has been assisting female decision-makers in the financial sector for more than 20 years, and its Women's Business Development practice was formally founded in 2000 to reflect the bank's acknowledgment of the growing prominence of women in these roles.
To assist eliminate the 257-year economic gender gap outlined by the World Economic Forum's 2020 Global Gender Gap Report, PNC launched Project 257®: Accelerating Women's Financial Equality in 2021.
A nationwide network of more than 4,800 PNC-Certified Women's Business Advocates, men, and women specially educated as allies that women can depend on and trust as they navigate life's financial problems and opportunities, is at the forefront of PNC's Women's Business Development effort. PNC also provides funding to several groups that mentor and support women, including Coralus (formerly SheEO).
PNC Bank aims to unite women through these initiatives and its national main street bank strategy by showcasing engaging and educational programs throughout its regional market footprint and by emphasizing financial health and empowerment for both customers and non-customers.
