Premier Jacinta Allan of Victoria was honored at a special ceremony held by the Australian High Commission in Delhi to commemorate the noteworthy contributions made by women to the economic ties between Australia and India. The occasion emphasized the growing influence of women in innovation, sustainability, and business alliances, as well as their leadership in trade, investment, technology, and education. It highlighted the dedication to promoting inclusive economic growth and gender equality.
Premier Jacinta spoke at the Australia-India Women's Leadership Forum (AIWLF) event about her desire for Australia and India to work together as well as the initiatives of Global Victoria in India. In an effort to improve business relations between the two nations, the Business Council of Australia (BCA) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) collaborated to organize the forum.
Premier Jacinta Allan was interviewed by Australian Chair Ravneet Pawha, VP (Global Engagement) & CEO (South Asia) at Deakin University and National Vice-Chair of the Australia India Business Council, on Victoria's strategic engagement with India and raising the profile of women in the Australia-India business corridor. The event was organized by Viji Murugesan, the Chair of the AIWLF in India.
Premier Allan highlighted the BCA's support of business-friendly policies and CII International's function in bringing together international stakeholders for bilateral growth, while applauding the AIWLF platform for empowering women in Australian and Indian firms.
