President Halimah Yacob visits Malaysia for a 3day state visit

Today, President of Singapore Halimah Yacob started a three-day inaugural official visit to Malaysia that will last until March 22. On the request of Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah who visited Singapore on October 2022, she visited Malaysia.

Halimah arrived at the International Airport of Kuala Lumpur along with the delegation of Singapore, Dr. Mohamad Maliki Osman the Second minister of Education and Foreign Affairs, and Low Yen Ling the minister of Trade and Industry via a commercial aircraft.

Halimah and her delegation were welcomed by Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri the minister of attendance, Women, Family, and Community Development whereas Captain Muhammad Akmal Hakim Sabarudin the First Battalion of the Royal Ranger Regiment presented a ceremonial guard of honor to the President of Singapore.

The main aim of the tour was to build good relations and mutual benefits between the two nations, as stated by Wisma Putra.

Among the Asian nations, Singapore was the second largest global trading partner of Malaysia. It holds a trading amount of RM367.53 billion (USD83.53 billion), with an increase of 29.4%.
