Project 50 Kids is a project to equip young children from public and private secondary schools in Ogun State with creative, entrepreneurial, and soft skills. It was started by the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) Alumnae Association.

The program's goal is to provide participants transferable abilities that will help them comprehend and perceive life, work, money, and environmental challenges more clearly.

AWEAA, the U.S. Consulate in Lagos, and other partners collaborated on Project 50 Kids, which empowered over 60 youngsters, according to a statement issued by the association's president, Adebisi Odeleye.

The beneficiaries, according to Adebisi, are secondary school pupils from ten carefully chosen schools who are accompanied by their instructors, who also found the experience to be very enlightening.

"The programme emphasised the value of entrepreneurship and gave the students useful tools to monetize their talents," she added. The kids were inspired to go outside of traditional professional pathways and embrace the possibility of launching their own enterprises by fostering their creative potential.

The students participated in a carefully crafted programme of instruction that included classroom instruction, practical skill development training, and mentorship opportunities. They spoke with successful business owners and subject matter experts who contributed their expertise, experiences, and useful insights.

"The programme not only gave the pupils business skills, but it also helped them develop resilience, self-belief, and confidence. The youngsters were inspired to dream large, create objectives, and follow their hobbies through engaging activities and mentoring.

Project 50 Kids is a brilliant example of the transforming power of cooperation, mentoring, and opportunity as the AWE Alumnae Association continues its mission of empowering women and cultivating business. Through programmes like these, the organisation is laying the foundation for a better, more inclusive future for all with the help of its partners.

The AWE, a United States of America White House project that provides adventurous women with the information, network, and access they need to develop and expand successful enterprises, is the parent organisation of AWEAA, she continued.

"Project 50 Kids has an effect that lasts longer than just the term of the initiative. By motivating a new generation of young entrepreneurs, it has established the groundwork for long-lasting transformation.

The AWE Alumnae Association, the U.S. Consulates, the partnering local schools, committed facilitators, and volunteers have created the conditions for long-term economic empowerment and community growth by giving these kids the means to follow their aspirations.

"The AWE Alumnae Association and the U.S. Consulate Lagos are embracing the entrepreneurial spirit and supporting the aspirations of young minds, driving positive change and empowering the next generation of leaders and innovators."
