A free networking event for Northern New Mexico’s women in business will be conducted at projectY cowork Los Alamos on June 8th. This event will provide an opportunity for meeting and exchanging ideas to women business owners, professionals, and entrepreneurs while also extending the same prospect to non-binary and individuals who identify as women.
“Networking is a vital part of running a business,” said Alice Holtzclaw, Membership and Program Manager at projectY cowork. “Whether you’re looking for resources, new customers, or moral support, simply having a face-to-face conversation can start you on a path you never would have considered before.”
The event will be a casual one where drinks and light snacks will be provided. Attended can bring business cards to help them network. Although it is a non-sales-oriented event, yet attendees are recommended to have an elevator pitch about themselves or their work ready: “Just a sentence or two about who you are and what you do can really start a conversation,” explained Alice.
A coworking place, projectY cowork is also a hub for startups, freelancers and others to connect with like-minded entrepreneurs, business experts, investors and mentors. Since its inception in June 2016, project Y cowork has conducted hundreds of events for entrepreneurs. These events have seen individuals from across Northern New Mexico participating.
Other than providing various membership options and punch card passes to the workspace, projectY also permits non-members to reserve its conference room and event space for after-hours and weekend use.
