Prolific Machines names Christina Perry CFO to drive Biopharmaceutical Growth with Optogenetics

Prolific Machines, a biotechnology company, announces Christina Perry as CFO. Perry will scale growth, enhance financial systems, and leverage her pharmaceutical and CDMO expertise to help expand Prolific’s commercial reach and achieve ambitious business goals. The appointment was made on February 13, 2025, in Emeryville, Calif.

Prolific Machines advances protein therapeutic development with its Photomolecular platform, combining optogenetic tools and closed-loop capabilities to control cellular functions. The Bay Area company aids biopharmaceutical and biotech firms in solving protein challenges and enhancing titer, quality, and consistency. Light-enabled receptor control reduces costs and shortens antibody therapeutic run times by eliminating growth factors.

Before joining Prolific, Perry spent four years at Forge Biologics, a viral vector gene therapy company, where she built and scaled finance, accounting, and investor relations functions. She helped raise over $300M and expanded the company from 7 to 350 employees. Perry has expertise in complex legal structures, equity, and debt financings. With 15 years of experience across public and private companies, she specializes in scaling operations. She began her career at Deloitte as a CPA and holds a BBA from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Accountancy from Miami University. In 2023, she was named a Woman of Influence by Columbus Business First.
