Qatar's Women Catalysts for Development, QBWA Emphasizes

Aisha Alfardan, Vice-Chairperson of the Qatari Businesswomen Association (QBWA), delivered a riveting talk at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMU-Q), emphasizing the critical role that women play in Qatar's socioeconomic progress. Aisha underlined Qatari women's contributions to business, government, education, and policymaking.

During the 'Dean's Lecture Series,' Aisha showed a film showcasing Qatari women's extraordinary achievements, including their crucial involvement in the success of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which highlighted Qatar's compassion, rich culture, and solid infrastructural development. The event highlighted women's capabilities as leaders, visionaries, and innovators pushing good change.

Aisha stated that Qatari women constantly outperform their male colleagues, succeeding not only in school but also on administrative boards, policymaking, and in the commercial sector. She praised the Qatari Businesswomen Association for promoting women's involvement and contributing to the achievement of Qatar's National Vision 2030.

The QBWA Vice-Chairperson emphasized that women are not only the center, but the essence of society, highlighting their critical role in raising and nurturing families. Aisha stated that investing in women helps the entire society, and in addition to economic success, Qatari businesswomen promote gender equality, mentorship, and inclusion.

Aisha recognized Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser's innovative leadership, honouring her historic efforts to empowering Qatari women via sustainable development. Following the presentation, Aisha and CMU-Q Dean Michael Trick signed a memorandum of agreement, cementing QBWA and the university's combined efforts to improve student mentoring opportunities.
