The Qatari Businesswomen Association (QBWA) and Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) have signed a substantial collaboration agreement to promote women's entrepreneurship and economic development. The cooperation intends to promote a variety of programs that help women in business in Qatar and around the region.
The arrangement was concluded on February 19, 2024, with Aisha Alfardan, Vice Chairman of QBWA, and Bassel Gamal, Group CEO of QIB, confirming it. This agreement is a watershed milestone in QBWA's unwavering pursuit of women's empowerment, expanding its influence and confirming its critical role in generating economic growth. Similarly, it demonstrates QIB's consistent commitment to strengthening the local economy and the private sector through targeted assistance for female entrepreneurs.
Aisha Alfardan expressed thanks for QIB's support, emphasizing the partnership's transformational potential for bringing about significant change. In response, Bassel Gamal, CEO of QIB, expressed excitement about the collaboration's potential for the following year.
