Rachel Reeves becomes 1st Female Chancellor of Britain

Rachel Reeves has become the Exchequer’s first female chancellor immediately after Britain’s Labour Party came into governance, being in the shadow for 14 years. Rachel has come across tough job of bringing prospects of Britain’s economic growth back into action while concluding the stagnation of a decade and half.

After the Labour Party’s triumph with majority of votes in general election, Rachel was named as the chancellor. Taking inspiration from Janet Yellen, US Treasury Secretary, she shall pursue an economic agenda while being in change of Britain’s budget. Janet’s policies have persuaded in creating jobs as well as in US’ manufacturing investment boom.

In addition, Rachel calls her version with a portmanteau word ‘securonomics’ that means “resilience for our national economy and security for working people.” Writing in a book, she said, “Much of my securonomics approach has its roots in Yellen’s modern supply-side economics.”

She has been involved in numerous arguments and discussion claiming for a greater role for the government, teaming up with businesses.

Rachel’s new position is a milestone for the country itself. Being the first ever woman to capture such a position, she serves as a beacon of change and inspiration for all the women out there, living under the shadow, despite having talent and skills to handle leadership positions.
