Research to handle gender inequality in the private sector by Dubai Holding and UAE

Research is being conducted to determine the challenges and needs of women working in the private sector by the Dubai Holding and UAE Gender Balance Council. The research paper will be released by end of 2023.

The research paper will include the major issues faced by women in the corporate sector including promotions and retention, and work culture. The final report will have the results including major discoveries, an in-depth analysis, and suggestions required for the advancement of the workplace.

The SDG 5 Pledge to Accelerate Gender Balance was signed by Dubai Holding which owns Jumeirah Group. It was the first company in the UAE's private sector which signed this initiative which aims to increase the percentage of women in workplaces to 30% by the year 2025.

The Chief Impact Officer of Dubai Holding, Huda Buhumaid stated the commitment that his firm offers to gender equity and inclusivity. He further mentioned the eradication of challenges faced by women in the working sector. The firm will bring out some unique ideas to build up an equitable work environment that will provide equal opportunities for all employees. It will nurture talent and support professional development.
