River City Labs (RCL), Brisbane's tech innovation centre, is gearing ready to empower up to 20 female entrepreneurs through a groundbreaking project known as the "Elevating Female Founders Programme." This programme, which was announced this week at the annual Something Tech festival, is designed to give critical assistance, mentorship, and resources to budding technology firms led by female entrepreneurs, assisting them in turning their unique ideas into reality.

The Elevating Female Founders Programme, which is only available to female founders in Queensland, provides an intensive eight-month support system. This all-inclusive programme offers structured mentorship, coaching, skill training, invaluable industry connections, and access to a dedicated Entrepreneur In Residence. Participants will also get a 12-month digital membership to River City Labs, which is supervised by the Australian Computer Society (ACS), Australia's professional body for the technology sector.

The demanding timetable of the programme demands ambitious entrepreneurs to contribute a minimum of 10 hours per week over the first four months, followed by specialised support of 10 hours every two weeks for the next four months. Furthermore, participants will be required to visit Brisbane twice between July and August 2024.

The Elevating Female Founders Programme will target two separate groups of companies: early-stage (pre-product) and later-stage (post-product). This personalised approach guarantees that the program's services are accessible to entrepreneurs at various phases of their company journey.

Pauline Fetaui, director of ACS Innovation Labs, commented on the programme, emphasising the unique benefits of the 12-month RCL membership. Participants in this membership have access to the organization's Talent Landing Pad Pool of interns and IT professionals, as well as its large mentor database. It also connects you to key networks and commercial prospects.

"We're looking to help female entrepreneurs on their business journey with a mix of cohort-based and one-on-one support to guide founders to their goals, no matter what stage their business is at," Fetaui said. So, if you're looking to grow your business from the seed of an idea to a thriving enterprise, our programme can help, and we'd love to hear from you."

Candidates must be Queensland citizens with a registered tech startup in the state to be considered for this incredible opportunity.

"At RCL, we want to serve as a springboard for emerging technology companies to solve global problems." "River City Labs' 11 years of experience will be leveraged to help Elevate Female Founders take their businesses to the next level," Fetaui said. "The difference in this programme is that we are meeting the founders where they are, with leadership from fellow female founders and mentors."

The Elevating Female Founders Programme is likely to have a significant influence on the Queensland technology startup environment, providing women entrepreneurs with the assistance and tools they need to flourish in the ever-changing tech market. It is an important step towards increasing diversity and creativity in the region's technological sector.
