SA Government announces Continuation of Women in Business Advisory Program

Recently, SA Government has made an announcement regarding the Women in Business Advisory Program’s continuation for another year. It has also been revealed that the applications for 2025 is now open. For the 3rd year in a row, the program will be managed by Behind Closed Doors.

This particular initiative has been taken with an intent to support women entrepreneurs with South Australia in order to scale and expand their businesses. It will provide 40 scholarships approximately. The scholarships have been designed, intending to aid females with ambitious growth plans with an offer for one-on-one business advisory sessions access.

Additionally, Andrea Michaels, the Minister for Small and Family Business stated, “The Women in Business Program was an election commitment of mine and it has been a huge success supporting more than 2,600 women to grow their businesses. Research shows that women in business face unique challenges, from accessing capital to gender inequalities. That’s why this program is vital in providing the tools, knowledge and support needed to overcome these obstacles.”

Adding to the statement, Behind Closed Doors Managing Director Donny Walford added, “Excitingly, the SA Women in Business Advisory Program has grown into a cornerstone of support for South Australian women entrepreneurs, and we are thrilled to expand its scope in 2025.” The program introduces tailored groups and a fully funded First Nations cohort to ensure comprehensive support is accessible to all participants.”
