In a key step toward encouraging female entrepreneurship, the South Australian government reported that over 1000 female company owners have saved more than $1 million under the Women in company Foundations program.

With a $4 million budget, the project aims to empower women, who account for more than 40% of the region's small business owners. The program has two primary streams: Foundation and Advisory.

The Foundation stream is primarily designed for new business owners, including mentorship sessions and small group seminars to improve abilities in many aspects of business administration. These include finance and accounting, marketing tactics, digital technology, and cybersecurity.

Andrea Michaels MP, Minister for Small and Family Business, praised the program's performance and emphasized its importance in providing women with the skills they need to succeed in the entrepreneurial landscape.

Michaels emphasized the importance of small companies, emphasizing their significant yearly contribution of $49 billion to the economy and society.

The Women in Business Foundations initiative demonstrates the government's commitment to promoting gender diversity and economic success in South Australia.
