Sarah Geronimo 1st Filipina to receive Global Force Award by Billboard

Sarah Geronimo, who’s a singer and an actress, has accepted Global Force award at the Billboard Women in Music event and secured her place as the 1st Filipina to attain such reputation. The event took place California’s Los Angeles at the YouTube Theater.

She is a the "Tala" hitmaker. Besides this award, she has also received Mnet Asian Music Award, MTV Europe Music Award, Classic Rock Roll of Honour Award and World Music Award.Sarah was also mentioned in the Tatler magazine in the year 2021 as one of the most influential people in Asia.

Billboard has shared a video of Sarah on their social media when she was receiving the award. In the video, she was saying, “I humbly accept this award on behalf of every excellent Filipino artist back home and all over the world. For me, this recognition signifies courage and hope. Courage to accept and embrace one’s self and the courage to break boundaries and rise above all the setbacks and challenges that every artist needs to face. And the hope that one day, this meaningful moment will bridge the gap between the Philippines and other nations, collaborating, uniting as one to create change and positivity in the world through music.
