SBA Announces $300,000 Funding for Veteran Women Entrepreneurs

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has again come up with an opportunity for women entrepreneurs. SBA’s Office of Veterans Business Development has announced a new funding program of $300,000. The application for this program is open till March 21, 2024.

The firm is inviting non-profit organisation and business who are serving on the private sector can apply for this program to provide entrepreneurship training to women veterans. The funding shall be provided to up to 6 grantees so they can participate in Women Veteran Entrepreneurship Training Program. The base project period includes 3, 12-month options.

SBA’s Office of Veterans Business Development’s acting associate administrator, Timothy Green said, “There is an incredible need for more advocates and resources tailored to women veteran entrepreneurs, with over two million women veterans living in the U.S. today and over 12 million businesses owned by women.”

He added, “We offer grants through our Program to support and empower women veterans as they move forward with their businesses, whether opening for business or finding new avenues to expand on what they’ve already established.”

To launch or grow their businesses, nearly 9,500 participants has collaborated with Women Veteran Training Program grantees in the financial year 2023. This year’s funding program shall help even more women veterans to establish or grow their existing businesses.
