Sephora and Zoetis have been named beneficiaries of the coveted 2024 Catalyst Award in honour of their outstanding efforts to promote diversity, equality, and inclusion (DE&I) inside their businesses. Catalyst, a worldwide charity devoted to gender justice and workplace inclusion, will recognize the two firms at its forthcoming Catalyst Awards Conference & Dinner on March 12, 2024.
The Catalyst Award, created in 1987, has recognized 110 programs from 98 organizations throughout the world that have proven creative approaches to talent development and organizational building via gender equity.
Lorraine Hariton, President and CEO of Catalyst, underlined how important these programs are in creating meaningful workplaces. "Leading on gender equity has become core to what it means to be an impactful company and workplace," Lorraine said in a statement. "Sephora and Zoetis have shown us the positive impact for employees, for business, and for communities when workplaces are respectful and rewarding for women and for everyone."
The 2024 Catalyst Awards Conference & Dinner, entitled "The Catalyst Effect," will be held both in person at the New York Hilton Midtown in New York City and online. The event strives to recognize the collective influence of individuals devoted to diversity, equity, and inclusion, emphasizing the transformative improvements that may be achieved collectively.
Sephora's winning program, the DE&I Heart Journey, which debuted in 2020, emphasizes staff development, customer involvement, and community impact. The Sephora Scholarship, All Abilities Hiring Program, and Talent Incubator Program are notable successes that have resulted in increasing representation of women of colour at all levels of the corporation.
Zoetis, who received an award for their "Awareness & Action Drive Impact" project, has identified DE&I as a strategic priority for 2020. Under CEO Kristin Peck's leadership, the firm established the position of Chief Talent, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer and a dedicated team to drive transformation. The effort has resulted in considerable improvements in women's participation internationally, both in leadership positions and on boards of directors.
The 2024 Catalyst Awards event is scheduled to attract hundreds of executives from a variety of industries, with Target acting as the Presenting Sponsor. The conference will include talks about creative approaches to DE&I and the collective influence that individuals can have in advancing workplace equality.
Registration for the event is now open, with both individual tickets and ticket packages available for the Conference and Dinner events. The worldwide community is excited to celebrate Sephora and Zoetis' successes in creating workplaces that really work for everyone.
