SheaMoisture has launched ‘Dream Fund Grant’ program for Black female-owned businesses across Canada on April 15, 2024. In addition, the firm has awarded Canada’s 10 Black female entrepreneurs and their successful businesses with financial grants and educational resources that are from beauty and wellbeing sectors in order to improve their business acumen and growth potential.
Additionally, SheaMoisture has come up with 5 $10,000 cash grants comprising a total of $50,000 which is awarded to 5 Black female entrepreneurs. The beneficiaries shall get access to personalized coaching, mentoring, and ongoing support for the span of 6 months by reputable Canadian Black business industry leaders.
SheaMoisture Canada’s Marketing Lead, Maureen Kitheka expressed, “It's not every day that we see Black female entrepreneurs recognized for their contribution and dedication to enrich their families, neighborhoods, and communities. At SheaMoisture, our mandate is to serve the Black communities with nourishing, no-compromise products; we are very keen on investing in the richness of Black businesses and specifically creating access to new possibilities for Black female entrepreneurs as they scale their ventures. There's so much to be done to ensure that they are empowered to keep thriving, and we are proud to be doing our part.”
The interested people can submit the application by the deadline May 31st, 2024. The submit shall be comprised of both written and video components that would be describing the unique aspects of their businesses in addition to their capacity to foster growth within their community.
