In order to aid female customers, Skye bank Plc has launched a platform entitled ‘Pearl’ to unlock the potentials, as part of its empowerment initiative. The launched initiative provides a growth chance to sit-at-home mothers, professionals and women-owned SMEs, expanding their wealth via partnership relationship, access to finance, information, networking, mentoring in addition to empowerment initiative.

Founded in 2006, Skye bank Plc is a big player in the banking industry with specialities in strategic planning and management, corporate banking, project finance, development & structured finance, international trade finance and much more. Headquartered in Lagos, the bank is one of the top financial institutions in Nigeria.

Timothy Oguntayo, CEO at Skye Bank Plc stated, “the Pearl product is a well-thought-out offering conceived by women and birthed by women basically to cater for the needs of Nigerian women. The initiative is for our women, our Pearls, who own Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) as well as individual customers. They may be Professionals or Stay-at-home moms, or better still, women entrepreneurs who are seeking to unleash their potential but have not been empowered.”

He added, “Our research has shown that most of these ‘Pearls’ are simply waiting to access capital to show what they can do. They need dedicated financial and non-financial services support to bring out the latent power in them and Skye Bank is positioned to provide the platform for this.”
