Southern Cross Health Insurance has appointed Cath Lomax as its new Chief People and Strategy Officer. Cath brings over twenty years of experience, mostly in the financial services sector, to her new post, including sales, strategy, and client services.
Nick Astwick, CEO of Southern Cross Health Insurance, expressed his excitement over Lomax's hiring, highlighting the significance of individuals inside the firm. Cath formerly worked as the Chief Client Officer at Fisher Funds for almost four years, where she oversaw the development and administration of client-facing, advising, and operations teams. Her lengthy experience also includes a position as General Manager - People at Bank of New Zealand, where she developed and executed people strategies for several divisions such as risk, finance, strategy and transformation, insurance, and wealth.
During her time at the Bank of New Zealand, Lomax established a senior female leader mentorship program and managed the implementation of a staff banking offering based on a human-centric design approach.
Cath’s appointment follows the recent hire of Regan Savage as Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, demonstrating Southern Cross Health Insurance's commitment to boosting its leadership team with experienced experts.
