Stanbic IBTC Holdings to host Bloom Weekend for Businesswomen

Stanbic IBTC Holdings Plc has announced the dates for the annual women’s event entitled as ‘Bloom Weekend’. The event shall take place in July 27, 2024, in Lagos. The decided theme of the event is ‘With Her. For Her.’

It will be organised to celebrate women in its Blue Blossom community. During the announcement, the firm has restated its commitment towards women-owned businesses growth. The event shall host numerous components that includes yoga session, village market, the Ladies At The Table Empowerment Series (LATTES), an all-day trade fair, and Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SME) masterclasses.

Amongst all other features, LATTES is the major one which will present industry experts and thought leaders for interaction on topics like financial independence and stability, emotional well-being, and how to tackle barriers in career and business.

After the interactive session, the Blue Blossom trade fair shall occur where products and services from businesses that are owned by women across various business segments will be showcased. From the trade fair, the attendees can explore and buy things at discounted rates while networking with other women. This can help to find investment opportunities as well. The fair is being organised with an intent to bridge the financing gap for women-owned businesses, focusing economic empowerment.
