The second Women in Tech (WiT) Incubator Programme’s launch has been announced by Standard Chartered contributing to the continuous growth of the number of female-focused technology initiatives.
After the launch of the inaugural incubator in 2023, Standard Chartered has made an alliance with WomHub for this year. The institution stated that the WiT Incubator programme shall begin with 12-week programme in the month of September 2024. A total of 15 startups that are selected for the programme, will be welcomed.
Standard Chartered said, “Originally introduced in the Americas in 2014 by Standard Chartered, the Women in Tech (WiT) Incubator Programme has grown significantly over the past decade. It has uplifted female entrepreneurs across Africa and supported women in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Manufacturing) fields. The programme’s primary goal is to advance gender equality and foster innovation through mentorship, education, networking, funding and community support.”
