25 women entrepreneurs have been picked by the Center for Women Entrepreneurs at Texas Woman’s University to receive grants through its StartHER program.
The StartHER grant program is a part of the Jane Nelson Institute for Women’s Leadership. The grant program provides chosen women entrepreneurs with $5,000 awards which aims strengthening woman-owned startups throughout the state of Texas.
The latest round of 25 awardees were picked from 264 applicants across Texas. The winning grant can be utilized to invest in equipment, technology, marketing materials or for training.
The kist of awardees is as follows:
Meladore, LLC’s Adrienne Hackney, KLW Design Group, LLC, Southern Roots Vegan, Top Choice Laboratory, LLC, Digital Marketing Maven & Associates, Vinat, LLC, The Touring Chocolatier, Any Day CPR Training, LLC, Jelly Nonprofit Consulting, Diaper Concierge, LLC, Alkin Solutions, LLC, La Gourmet Baking, Rescue Life CPR, The Shindig, Ollie Oats, LLC, Victory Creative Learning, LLC, Bear’s Little Bros, StringRise, LLC and Illuminate Video.
The 25 awardees will have to complete a training course which will be hosted by the Center for Women Entrepreneurs. The course will focus on business plan development, marketing strategies, legal and insurance, and accounting and finances. The chosen women entrepreneurs will also be given the opportunity to meet with a small business advisor and submit a business plan.
