Sung Mi-sook Takes Over as 14th President of Korea Women Venture Association

• Sung Mi-sook, the Ecotronics CEO becomes the 14th president of Korea Women Venture Association
• The announcement was made during the firm’s 2025 Regular General Meeting and Inauguration Ceremony that took place at Seocho-gu, Seoul

During Korea Women Venture Association’s ‘2025 Regular General Meeting and Inauguration Ceremony’, the firm welcomed the CEO of Ecotronics, Sung Mi-sook as the 14th president. The ceremony was held on February 25^th, 2025 at L-Tower in Seocho-gu, Seoul.

President Sung presented some of the key strategic tasks that includes discovering and nurturing promising startups, strengthening technological innovation and global capabilities, member communication and collaboration enhancement, growth foundation establishment for the association.

In her inaugural speech, President Sung said, “In the difficult environment both domestically and internationally, the driving force behind our country’s economic growth is ventures, and therefore, the role of women venture companies will grow even larger in the future. With 'sustainable innovation, connecting the world through women ventures' as our slogan, I will lead the new challenges of women venture companies.”

In her new role, Sung plans to assist startups’ cultivation which will intensify female-owned companies’ growth via technological advancement and attraction of investments while strengthening competitiveness of the market of women venture companies by newly research and development (R&D) resource acquisition in addition to overseas market entry programs.

Moreover, the communication channel for members have been planned to get subdivided into five industrial divisions with an intent towards effectively gathering on-site opinions as well as enhancing mutual cooperation. Sung also made announcements on planning for the establishment of branches in Gangwon and Jeju for balanced regional development
