Tech Girl, network for budding female tech startups to be launch at SXSW

The exclusive beta of Tech Girl, a platform to support female and nonbinary startup innovators, will be released during South by Southwest (SXSW) in March 2023.

Tech Girl will strive to act as a focal point for this audience, allowing them to communicate their objectives and goals, form strong relationships, and obtain access to the sources, equipment, and mentors they need to establish their businesses.

The founders of Tech Girl are preparing to give Austin's female startups a sneak peek at their platform as SXSW draws near. Since 1987, SXSW has committed to assisting creative individuals in realizing their dreams.

The festival and conferences that commemorate the fusion of the music, film and television industries are what make the occasion so well-known. This is a brand-new chance to introduce Tech Girl to a large group of startup community people, including investors, advisers, mentors, and founders.

According to Lynn Fernando, CMO, and co-founder, "We work to develop a community where women can come together to exchange information, cooperate, and build successful software firms." "We think we can help eliminate the gender gap in the IT sector and build a more varied and inventive future by leveling the playing field and giving women the assistance they need to thrive."

The main objective of Tech Girl is to support women in realizing their full potential as leaders and entrepreneurs in the IT industry. The company is working with industry heavyweights, VCs, and accelerators to build a large user base of female and nonbinary tech entrepreneurs, and the user-friendly platform will be showcased at SXSW in March.

Tech Girl intends to provide a wide range of services to assist women in starting and expanding their digital businesses. It aims to give founders access to early-stage investors willing to support a variety of firms, as well as peer networks and resources.

First-time founders may promote their companies to attract early-stage angel and seed finance by sharing their profile pages with mentors and advisers and learning from the vast network available to them.

CEO and Cofounder Rajul Kadakia notes that "women frequently take themselves out of the race much before the funding stage of a firm." "In addition, female entrepreneurs frequently lack access to resources like funding, mentorships, and networks, all of which can improve success rates. Women may feel they cannot compete with their male classmates as a result of this lack of support, which may discourage them from pursuing startup chances entirely."

Women still make up a small portion of the computer sector, despite improvements in bias awareness and gender diversity training in the workplace. Companies in the United States with just female founders raised barely 1.9% of total venture financing in 2022, according to Pitchbook.

When race was taken into account, the percentage fell even further, with Black and Latina's women receiving around 0.05% each of the VC money. Tech Girl can help in this situation. By offering their members opportunities, resources, and mentorship, they are dedicated to reducing the gender gap in technology. With additional assistance, they will grow the proportion of female-founded businesses and permanently alter the face of technology.

Lynn Fernando says, "Tech Girl is more than simply a platform. "A group of driven and gifted entrepreneurs, advisers, mentors, and investors will come together in this group to challenge the current quo and remove barriers in the IT sector. By assisting founders in forging important contacts early on, both online and offline, we want to support them as they embark on their entrepreneurial path."

Tech Girl and its creators are upbeat about the future for women in the tech industry with their impending premiere at SXSW. Tech Girl aspires to alter the game for the subsequent generation of world leaders by reaching millions of women and assisting them in achieving their entrepreneurial aspirations.

A dynamic platform called Tech Girl gives budding female tech entrepreneurs the tools they need to make their ideas a reality. The platform is scheduled to launch and make its premiere in March at SXSW in Austin, Texas.
