University of San Diego's (USD) Brink Small Business Development Center (SBDC) welcomed a total of 22 accomplished women leaders’ delegation globally in the 2nd week of October. This is a part of U.S. Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP).
These women leaders are taking part in a program that is focused on the understanding the factors driving successful entrepreneurship of women in the US. These leaders are representing diverse sectors and backgrounds.
USD’s hub for innovation as well as entrepreneurial support ‘The Brink SBDC’ offered a setting for this international delegation visit. The event has been designed with an intent to offer firsthand insights to the delegates into the American entrepreneurial ecosystem, having a particular focus on the women business owners’ experiences and challenges in the realm of business.
The Brink SBDC Director Amy Duncan said, “It was an honor to host this group of inspiring women at The Brink. This visit allows us to share our expertise and contribute to a broader understanding of women's entrepreneurship in the U.S."
Associate Regional Director for the San Diego & Imperial SBDC Network Briana Weisinger questioned, “How do your own biases contribute to inequality for women in business?”
